A Poem by Albina K

Today from

Dales

Have visited us

The Nails!

The longest is

A Dad,

On his head

There is a

Hat.

A shorter is

A Mum,

Her hat

Is with

A red gum.

And four

Young nails -

Small tails.

Their caps

Are red and new

The youngest one

Has blue.

Every nails

On each shoe

Has heels,

Which are

Sharp

And new.

The nails

Have no

Children

I thought…

Our dinner would be

A haut spot!

- Come in, please!

- Feel at ease!

- Where are

You taking

Your seats?

- Do you

Want to eat

Some sweets?

- Well, the nails

Told me

- Sorry,

We can’t agree,

Though

We have

Good manners.

We need only

Some hammers.

Nails have a

Steel trunk,

Our work

Can’t be

Shrunk

From good tools

And us -

The nails

In a super class,

Who want and

Desire that

Every man

Would require.

The nails.

I didn’t argue

And debate,

Went to

A toolbox

Straight,

Took a

Hammer

And my tools

And

Repaired

My neighbors’

Stools.

I love the way this flowed. When I first started read I was kind hesitant to read this but after a few lines I was hooked. You made a simple subject interesting. Great work
