A Miniscule DaydreamA Poem by Aryan ChoudharyThe occurrence of a phase in the life of a teenager sitting permanently in his mind.
Once upon a time
There was a stupid guy Looking for love With eyes quite shy. Saw a girl 'too pretty' With his grey-brown eyes Brain played a Melody -- "Oh gosh, she's nice!". The boy was cheered, his heart cleared Merrily did he drop Below the brows, above the chin A smile appeared on top. At once they talked, made a cross Shared a bond in two As the boy too kind, the girl too naive Forgot, she is clever too. He made her a princess Called her his own "She is the dearest" quoth he Didn't foresee when he'll mourn. Told her "you're gorgeous, You can do wonders Would shield you till I die To storms and thunders". Then came one guy With a heart too bold -- "to my heart too soft, I became too old". He stole her away to the ends of Oz Brought him depths of darkness He saw her laugh and a smile too broad It took it away, his happiness. Again and again every day Till he cried from dusk to dawn Their lips grinning, his eyes watering, He called her awn and awn and awn. Until one day, he left it all Had no one but 'she' Her regrets, his depression, "My love was pure" quoth he. Once, upon a time There was a stupid guy Walked heartless and betrayed Hid his eyes, quite shy! Said no word But walked briskly Till he looked at god --"Isn't this lovely?" © 2019 Aryan ChoudharyFeatured Review
