Faith and Truth: A battle

Faith and Truth: A battle

A Poem by Anonymous

What do we do when we lose our way?
When we suffer severely every day
When our minds and hearts walk away
When our lives become a tragic play
Ladies and gentlemen, my soul fell prey
To my will to truth which i cant sway
As my soul wanders alone and astray
I struggle to protect my faith from decay
And our departure I try to delay
Whats inside me I cant explain
A fight where my heart screams in pain
A riot inside a prison I cant restrain
As the prisoner now I cannot detain
Who demands strongly an end to faith's reign
Whose strength now I cant feign
As faith now cant walk without its cane
When you doubt all what you felt true
When of your fate you have no clue
And your trust and safety suddenly flew
When inside your mind occurs a coup
And nothingness is what you pursue
As every thought and belief you review
Your heaven suddenly becomes hell
As you're hypnosed by truth's spell
As it drags you slowly from your cell
And slowly makes you sell
What you felt comforting and rebel
Against a world you now bid farewell
