Freedom Of Speech

Freedom Of Speech

A Poem by Anonymous

Freedom of Speech,
A Goal Forbidden to reach,
Maybe illegal to teach,
In World that aims to preach,
Morals in need of a bleach.
By Oppression that recognizes no right
An oppression that knocks us down with no fight,
An oppression that fears even the sight,
Of pure freedom that only wants to enlight,
And destroy insides all fright
O Freedom, hold me tight
O Freedom, show me the light
O Freedom, remain the righteous night
Who fights alone in the dark night
With his brave heart and all his might
To lift off our souls oppression's nasty wight
I dearly hope one day
This unjust world ceases to say
That is freedom but a play
Or a meal served on an illusory tray
Oh unjust world, what options infront of me lay?
We either throw ourselves in the arms of a God so fair
Or live our miserable lives in incessant despair
Of the rights and wishes we could not but dare
Watch fly away and continue to stare
At this repulsive world, we cannot repair
