Amarila

Amarila

Amarila fairest of the fair

The morning star to all

Such wondrous dark emerald eyes

ever stirring my soul

How I long to trail my hands once

again upon your golden skin

There is an ache of memories long

lost within me

Your gentle laughter

The way the wind would flow through

your raven black tresses

Words can but describe only a sliver

of what you meant to me

Tears flow from my eyes as I fill the pain

coursing through me

I wonder if forgiveness is possible

for one such as I

Even as the darkness descends

I'll always love you

Forever and ever

My beautiful Amarila

Lost for eternity but never

From my heart

Quite incredible, not only in the authenticity of the emotions but above all, in the very decent and yet meaningful ways of expressing them. The contrast between the beginning and the ending also adds to the dramatic effect and so to speak seizes the reader with lots of sentiments. Thank you for sharing such a writing with us.
