All My Life

All My Life

A Poem by Albert Freeman
"

poetry

"

you are the only one

my everything

all my life ive searched for you

my prayers have been answered

you came from afar and

graced me with your love

i wouldnt be anything without you

all my life i searched

for someone like you

you chased the darkness away

brought hope and melted

despair away

in my hour of need you lifted me

up when i was lost

i prayed that you would

touch my heart

by the grace of a higher power

you made my life whole

all my life is dedicated to your happiness

never leave my side

stay with me all my life

all my life

I do suggest you submit a couple of your best poems to Golden Apple Ezine. We'll certainly publish you for issue 3 in January 2011 if you are interested to submit on any theme.

Beautiful.......... such a romantic sentiment to whom you write for. :-)

This was so elegant. You found that place where the heart and mind speak together, instead of against one another. I admire the way you are able to put forth emotion. It was easy for the reader to get involved, and understand. I even like the way you formatted it in italics. Gave it an extra addition of almost a whisper.

The only thing I see that could maybe be transitioned is the last line of the first stanza. I would word it "i would be nothing without you". It would flow a little bit better. The apostrophe in "wouldn't" kind of adds a pause where one doesn't need to be.

It takes a lot for a writer to be able to fully explain how they feel. Especially when it's related to love. That's such a sensitive emotion. The blend with love and religion.... that was the master-like tactic there.

Very much enjoyed. Thank you for sharing. :O}

Much love!
