Better in timeA Poem by Albert Freemanpoetryi gaze at you from afar a longing aching forever more too shy, too afraid to say what i feel i think that i'll be better in time but the lie never leaves my lips you haunt my dreams, my waking moments filled with images of you i know i can't live without you, but you're lost in the clouds while i stand grounded in my insecurities
i know i'll be better in time i'll find the words to say my fairy tale is one that is within my grasp i deserve to be happy don't i you're the one the piece to complete my puzzle i sigh and turn away indecision chokes me off
it's not meant to be i know it true you're too good for me meant for someone far better i'll always long for you i'll be better in time i always tell myself the lie will linger for all my days © 2008 Albert FreemanAuthor's Note
