Meet me at midnight, my love

under a full moon with the stars ashine

with brightness

Meet me at midnight, my love

and there we will share a moment

in time

The stars will witness love consummated

as we entwine our very souls

 

Meet me at midnight, my love

we can share our hopes and our dreams

as we lay arm in arm

Meet me at midnight, my love

I long to caress your face as shooting stars

pay homage to love everlasting

 

Meet me at midnight, my love

and there we can share as only two

truly in love can share

Meet me at midnight, my love

I long for your touch, I need

you so

 

Meet me at midnight, my love

and we can love one another as if

under a new covenant all over again

Meet me at midnight, my love

and we can love, love ever

and always

The language of love is perfect here. This is almost a sweet plea to the loved one as in
if we cannot be together in the flesh, meet me at midnight in your dreams and perfect love will be ours.

Of course meeting at midnight in person, is a more delightful and satisfying experience.

There are so many beautiful moments here that it is impossible to select a single line that stands out more than the others.

I adore this in its entirity.

I believe that those two lines are my favorite "bring this poem to completion" all on their own.
The "entwining of souls" is what it's all about, no matter where or how; made more perfect
with stars as a witness.
