Mist

slowly rolling across the land

blanketing everything as you pass

like clouds coming from the heavens

you cover it all in a thickened embrace

holding your secrets in the morning light

the way is lost, a journey made harder

what do hide, what treasures do you hold

the wonder of it all is that come the burning sun

you will go away

all your wonder and all your mystery

gone for another time and another day
