The Duchess and The Delver

The story is about a duchess who has a mysterious admirer: a composed dungeon delver. It takes place in a hotel in a tourist town. The story begins with an infiltration and ends with someone reading a diary.

    Vaylin sipped from his beer and watched the dancers as they twirled on the grand floor of the ball room. He couldn't imagine what he had done to deserve such a demotion. A dungeon delver of his expertise should not be assigned to babysit the comings and goings of the governors guests of honor. He felt out of sorts being in clean pressed clothing and much prefered the dankness and darkness of the Maruchian dungeons.
