The Joy of Cooking

The Joy of Cooking

Just something I thought up as I was burning yet another meal.

The Joy of Cooking

What a joy it is to cook

To be honest I'm rather lousy

I can't bake, I can't fry, I suspect I can't even grill

The microwave is my friend

I bless the day it was invented

I'm even handy with a toaster or two

Sure I can try to make an actual meal

Let's just hope before you eat you have good insurance

My skills are a wonder, as in I wonder if I have any

Looking at cooking shows just makes me think they are showing me up

I can cook, I tell myself that all the time

Just because I choose not to do it doesn't mean I can't

What cook doesn't burn what they make?

It's cajun style, that's my motto

What a joy it is to cook

just don't ask me to do it.
