Reflections Upon a Spring Morning

Finally spring is in the air

I see the morning dew and hear the call of birds

My thoughts turn to you and I wonder what you are doing

Are you asleep or are you reading

Spring brings new hope, spring brings new thoughts

we take away the winter blues and turn our thoughts to flowers in bloom

It's summer I know you're in the midst of

I wish I was there as I wish I had you hear

with a rising sun and the moisture upon the ground

I'm filled with optimism and hope

My thoughts are all positive

filled with new ideas my mind turns over and over

Knowing you'll be here soon I smile more and more

one less morning I'll be without you

I sigh with contentment stepping outside

I breathe it in deep, savoring the morning smells

reflections upon a spring morning

it's beautiful here

A beautifully written poem for a loved one. Just a few little glitches:

lines 5 and 6 both have "thoughts"-need to change one (could use "memories" or "expectations"
second stanza, first verse could use another word at the end
not "hear" but "here"-you hear with your ear(ear with an h)

I wish I was there as I wish I had you hear (would sound better: I wish I was there or you were here)
new ideas(,) my mind

contentment(,) stepping
