Snow Flurries

I chanced to look outside my window and saw snow flurries

It made me think of you and how you longed to see snow up close

I watched it fall and wished you had been here to see it

The snow won't stay, it will melt away

I make this promise, I make it true

We'll see snow together, we'll share your delight

Snow flurries swirling around

I wish I had captured it with a picture

I want to share it all with you

One day we'll run outside hand in hand

Shall we dance in the snow, shall we share in our joy

The flurries did not last

I turned away with a sigh

My thoughts are of you and how you're sleeping

I can't wait to share this moment with you

Sleep and dream and wake to me

thoughts of snow can wait until then
