Further adventures of Jack.

Playing fantasy sports online can be a fun diversion from an otherwise mundane life. Playing it and winning could be a religious experience at times. Playing it and losing could be down right disastrous to ones ego as well. All in all one has to wonder about anyone who plays it at all.
Jack blinked at the monitor several and ran a hand over his eyes. Maybe if he stared hard enough his fantasy hockey team wouldn't be in tenth place in a twelve team league. He was a casual hockey fan at best, but he didn't think that would matter seeing as he almost always won his baseball and basketball leagues. He had come to the obvious conclusion that there was a conspiracy against him to keep him from winning.
With an irritated sigh he pushed his chair away from the desk and stood up. His stomach chose that moment to growl as if to remind him that it was almost 9pm and it was time to feed it. He rubbed his stomach and made his way into the kitchen. Would it be ramen noodles or frozen pepperoni pizza? The choices could almost be endless. He stood at the sink and pondered his options. He could go with beef, oriental and chicken, or he could heat the oven and slide in the pizza. He stroked his chin. What to do, what to do. He'd flip his old squadron coin of course. Decisions like this could not be taken lightly. The happiness of his stomach was at stake.

             **** 30 minutes later ****

Jack sat down in front of the t.v. and changed the channel to ESPN. He reached and pulled the living room table closer and inhaled the aroma of beef flavored ramen noodles and pepperoni pizza. He had decided to go with both just to cover his bases. He decided while alternating eating both dishes that he wouldn't play fantasy hockey after this year. Who wanted to finish almost last all the time?
