Only for you, I think to myself

What would I not do, you for you

I would sail the oceans to feel your touch

I would fly across the endless skies to share your smile

 

Only for you, I think to myself

I would try to make you a sensual dinner

We both know my skill, so be o so patient

I would walk walk through burning deserts

to drink in your beauty

 

Only for you, I think to myself

Would I share all my thoughts and all my dreams

Barriers long raised would always be low

Romantic thoughts would be fuel for my dreams

The sparkle in your eyes would slake my thirst

 

Only for you, I think to myself

Would I give up all just to make you happy

Nothing would stop me from being with you

I would vanquish all foes

I would do anything

i wanted to recomment on this piece, i just didnt feel it necessary to lend to a Great piece already
built upon the real love which encompasses the sentimental meaning, and always a great reread,
yourthoughts flow with a specific passion and focus, along with classic approach, makes for a
wonderful read, expresses your talent in light of true romanctic perspective, keep up the excellent work

I enjoyed ONLY FOR YOU... works for me, probably due to the fact tha I to repeat certain lines at times. Sounds like a song in the making to me and I suppose if I read it over and over; sooner or later a tune would emerge within my thoughts.

Did that once, with a Langston Hughes line of poetry about 30 years ago; read the line over several times before drifting off to sleep each night creating a tune (beat) within my thoughts.

Maybe it's when we compose of our emotions the repeating takes place? Seems like most of the poems I've written while thinking of another has a repeating line included. Again, I enjoyed your words. Bear

I can't quite decide rather I like the repitition or not in certain places. I love it at the ending. Throughout the poem, though, I like it better for some reason if only the first half "only for you" is repeated....because we already know you're thinking it to yourself and you wouldn't have to say that again until the end. I think it would make the ending more powerful too. But, please....this is just my opinion, and I don't know what I'm talking about half the time so go with your gut.

I love the image of a man trying to make a sensual dinner even though he isn't a great cook. I think I might write a poem just about that! Overall, I like this. Please feel free to tell me how I can improve my work as well....I'm not sensative about it...I want to improve.
