The Wonder of It All

 

I can't remember when I first dreamed of you

I can't remember when my heart first skipped a beat when you smiled

There is so much I can't remember

But the wonder of it all is that I still have you

I remember our beach and reading together

Seeing Kodi running free

Watching in silence as you smiled

The way the breeze played with your hair.

What a joy it is to touch your hand

and share a secretive smile with you

 

The wonder of it all

is I still have you

The way you laugh when I say something

even if it is a lame joke

the way you listen to me when I do attempt to be serious

there is a magic about you that

has me glued tight to you

the joy I feel of being around you

takes my breath away

 

The wonder of it all

is I remember from day one

how we clicked together

no awkward pauses

no hesitant conversations

we fit together seamlessly

so effortless are we together

 

The wonder of it all

is not to wonder at all

but bask in what we have

and treasure it evermore

this was an extraordinary piece, the wonder of it all, I loved what it represented,
nicely done Albert, again you have captured those emotions that speak to the
reader on soul level, as well as being able to relate to what is being said,
as you describe things like the treasure of the heart, and that being the one
you love, you have captured a graceful form, very fluid, has a sweeping,
joyous, gentleness about the presence, the way you bring focus to memory
