Perfect Day

this is another poem about someone i lost...

 

 

Perfect Day

 

If I could  rip apart the seams of

Of this reality

And pull you back into my world

And bring you back to me

 

Maybe not forever

Even just for a day

 

If I could do such a thing

Then I would find a way...

 

And we would walk side by side

through meadows lush and sublime

And swim in bluest oceans sink our toes

into the sands of time

 

And I would smile brightly

And you would smile too

 And my heart would swell

Just to be here with you

 

And I would tell you all the things

I ever meant to say

 

And it would truly be

The perfect day
