MusicA Poem by Ryun CushingWrote this in Creative Writing class, not sure what I think about it.
It's the way the music resonates against the drum of my ear.
The way it feels when you hear that one song; no fear. There's the message of that other song, you know, telling you to steer clear. Of the drugs, the sex, the violence, and the beer. Music is poetry and you don't need to rhyme. But rhyme or not Without it there is no rhyme, or reason, no thought to be thought. Music promotes intelligence into the minds of the masses. It reminds people to get up, get them off of their asses. A few notes strung together can be the force behind a revolution. Just as ourselves, music is prone to evolution. From the apes of rock, to the humanoids of techno. It's all so very similar, you can still feel the pain, no? Regardless of your preference, it is a universal language that can string everybody together. It can showcase your hardships, or the simple fact, that you are as fragile, as a feather. Some people may call it noise, but what matters is that you feel it in your heart. That you can tell it from the traffic outside, that you know, it is art.
