Till tonight do us part...

Till tonight do us part...

A Poem by Sam Gonzalez

A meeting.
A midnight meeting.

Two lovers.
Two teenaged lovers.

A promise.
A promise to wed.

One ring.
One ring on her left hand.

Two hearts.
Two hearts intertwined.

He asked her.
He asked her if she would be his.

She said to him.
She said she was his.

One pastor.
One pastor to bind them.

Two rings.
Two rings for their fingers.

Two vows.
Two vows per lover.

A promise.
A promise to love and protect.

Till death.
Till death do us part.

Another promise.
Another promise to love and protect.

Till death.
Till death do us part.

I know pronounce you.
I know pronounce you boy and wife.

You may kiss.
You may kiss the girl.
