Our new dance

Our new dance

A Poem by Alan Mark Maynes

Our rhythm sows throughout the land
Like a beating drum
We dance around the fire
And await for our new vision to come
The vibrant vivid night
Flew calmly on it's quest
Our lyrics are hidden
Like a labrynth chest
Our meditating mind is at it's best
Strange desire
Knowing without knowing
A sagitarius born with luck
And his intellectual growing
The grand vision swims through a vast open sea
The night we longed for is yet to be
The nights we didn't want to let go
Our remembering dance has been cut short
Like a yard being mowed
A beautiful drive
To an unknown crash that nobody will know
The structure was destroyed
By a psychopathic spouse
We drive into the dawn
Tomorrow we'll reach the new house
The little games that streamed through our blood
A heart that wasn't revived
Is now deteriorating in the mud
A mans voice that repeated without care
The repetitive nights that didn't go nowhere
I controlled my world
Like a snow globe and shaked it
Our universe fell apart
Now my heart is vacant
This parallel place was reborn with joice
I arose on a morning to find a new voice
Our powerless mind proceeded
Was repaired with a new attack
We threw our doubts in the fire
And heard the wood crack
Kept throwing our disturbing logs to the stack
My knees got weak
Found myself laying
Looked over my shoulder
And seen a man praying
He tossed his demons into the flames
And screamed out!
ANOTHER DAY!!! ANOTHER DAY!!!
And next time
Our dance will go around the fire the other way
