War

War

A Poem by Emma-Joan

War what a terrible word
Makes adults hide and children cry
When fear and rage take over the world

When the earth crys out
From the horror it has seen
Of hope we are without

From the fatherless child
To the widow
None ever to smile

When you see a man in a army suit
Don't judge, just remember
They risk their life for you

War is such a terrine thing and its a hard issue to approach.
We disdain war and everything that accompanies it but at the same time we are grateful for the troops who risk their lives to protect us.
Such a love hate relationship.
You summed it up well.
Nice work.
