Maybe it is because I am older but I did get the message and although not a happy one I definetly liked your poem..
interesting use of a rhyme structure...as I am very new to understanding structure (although I have been writing for many many years)

I am so pleased that you liked 'Piper', I think epitaphs should be reasonably short and easy to read. I use the abccb rhyming scheme quite often. the internal couplet just breaks up the read.
