A Poem by alan khan

turn to face the breeze and slowly shut your eyes..
your senses are dulled by the blunt sight that robs you of joy.
shut away the blistering screen and turn toward the stars and slow moving clouds.
engulf yourself in the endless void  surrounding you . linger on the fact that the majority of this universe is occupied by darkness.
shed your body of the clunky armor you've learned to ignore. enjoy the fluidity that is allowed now.
let your skin brush against another who too has let go of their shield and chainmail.
embrace.
enjoy them as their skin raises and electricity pulses through their touch. find your warmth melding together until your breath flows in harmony.
taste each other's essence as you realize that this being too is part of the void. to bask in the damp and humid evening air, showering in the light of the moon and heavens, is no different to wrapping yourself in another's being. mist like diamonds in the moon's light.
naked and free. that is infinity.
there are no limits.
