detox.A Poem by alan khan
the bitter rank of unholy joy
linger through the air as the three days close. he is unexpectedly thrilled to see them go. he began that journey with stars in his eyes and courage in his gut but alas as time grew so did his worry.. but he was glad for them none the less. he was able to taste that which he long had forgotten. and though his perfect being slummed it for a while in that limbo between perfection and beast.. he is better off now than he was before the start. © 2011 alan khan |
