baptism

baptism

A Poem by alan khan

now come to
in full adulthood.

i re examine a number of aspects
of my rise.

first, examine just what the f**k i am..
i mean to really bask in the anomaly of my being.

i am sex defined.

terror walking.

class and frustration
a storm at my center.

i've left love in my wake
and crisis in ruin.

centuries of fooling with magic and tech
and suddenly i be created out of the two.

a combination of the elements and
man made circuitry.

that's what i am..
a newly defined idea.

growing into this
was not an ideal journey.

i've been tested and trialed time and time again.

i've showered in drops of lava,
starved for days without end.

made living at a tender age
in the jungles of terror.
rather.. let's remove the poetry from that statement.
and face harsh and tough facts.

i've endured..

and though i was born of skin

i was baptized under
funk danger
and euphoria.

"I've been tested and trialed time and time again." Great phrases describing the days of our lives.
Thanks my friend.

thank you. your reviews were very kind i appreciate them very much.
I like this poem. You took me on a good field trip with your words. No weakness in this poem. Just raw and strong emotion. I could read many times. I like the logic of this poem. Thank you for the outstanding poem. I like it all.
