Chapter 15

As another morning rises, the sun’s rays again warm Carlucious’ bones to stir him from sleep. His room filled with seductive women all laid out naked across his bed and floor. The pains this morning not as severe as normal, causing the King the grin, and to laugh to himself. No sooner than he steps out to his balcony as he usually does. Neila storms into the room. “My lord...”

“What is it captain?” Carlucious still gazing over his island as Neila rushes over to his King.

“Your queen my lord. She’s returned.”

“Returned from where again?”

“Her riding along the country side. Remember? She’s been gone for a few days.”

“Oh, well wonderful, call her in.”

“My lord,” Neila looks around the room. “The girls.”

Carlucious finally turns, staring down at the dozen beauties sprawled out across his room. “Oh yes. Them.” Smiling to himself as he raises a glass to his lips.

The queen of Halo Island bursts through the door, kicking and stepping over the w****s in her path. “Oh my great King. How wonderful, I had been concerned in my absence you might stir to madness, as being alone always tears you to shreds. Yet I see you’ve still managed to hold onto your…tumescent glow. How wonderful.” The king says nothing, only watching the wine shine against the sunlight as he swivels it in his cup. “You vile-”

The king strikes his queen in the face, bringing her down to her knees before slapping her again. “You mind your tongue Jolie, or I shall have it cut from that filthy mouth.” Carlucious grabs her harshly from the throat, her beautiful mess of brown hair covering her face. “I am your King. I am King.”

Coughing as her lungs struggle for air, “Yes, my lord.” Carlucious releases her and leaves the room, the queen laying with tears silently rolling down her cheek. “You are King.”
