put life in it's place.

put life in it's place.

A Poem by alan khan

you wake.

and you let the breeze cut through your hair,

the breeze you’ve held captive for days without end.

you hear the news of endless hororrs

and that they’ll soon be visiting you.

you hear the news of ugly faces

that will want to be clawing at you.

you are told time and time again

that gusts will beat you to your knees.

that you’ll be frightend in small cramped rooms

stead of empty endless seas.

rhyming is stupid and i am trying too hard

to make this seem worthwhile.

but i’ve always been one to ignore passion and reason

and cling to stupidity with powerful style.

life is not your friend

nor is it a gift.

it will swoop in and grab you

it’s power strong and swift.

but slap that b***h

slap life in the face

and cling to chaos

abandon fate
