meaningless hedonistic eroism

meaningless hedonistic eroism

A Poem by alan khan
"

the only person i'll ever be capable of loving is myself.

"

i stood
naked

on the edge of the world
the flat sharp world

and felt the cool breeze
and frigid mist of the ocean

raising to the heavens.

oh the smile on my face.
i edged and edged closer to the end of reason

and fell in love with the reflection of myself

lighter than air
tighter than rope

smoother than velvet
and all

i now feel the lock
and lift the latch

letting go of me.

all who draw near
falll under my spell

i love you.

Um, wow... I really really enjoyed the ending... I loved the transition

oh the smile on my face.
i edged and edged closer to the end of reason

and fell in love with the reflection of myself

That was just beautiful! I also like your choice in words, very unique. Well keep up the brilliant work!

You create wild vision with your words. A outstanding poem. Ending left me wanting more story.
