a time to let beauty reign

a time to let beauty reign

A Poem by alan khan
"

"i shall never forgive you for teaching me to love life."

"

in all these days of night.

i was granted a single day. a day of sun. hot sun burning the skin from teh bones of the body i 've grown to dispise. my own.

with me in the walk through the day. is a woman.

everything about her a dream. the golden clinging to her body. The smell lingering in the air i breathe.

She walks near me with careless wild apathy. The beautiful brown flowing in my face. Tasting her.

she stops in front an endless field of frigid lovely breeze. the daisies make love as i pull out the canvas. Placing in front and capturing what i can of this goddess.

now my heart brakes for returning to night. i only have this beautiful illusion of what i had that glorious single day.

Wonderful imagery .. could see .. you write with quite a pen, my friend .. there's so much tenderness and wild imagination ..

a few spelling errors .. but otherwise, I'm so moved by this poem ..

' she stops in front an endless field of frigid lovely breeze. the daisies make love as i pull out the canvas. Placing in front and capturing what i can of this goddess.' ... there's sadness there in the content but real beauty in your wording ..

You're a genius lol. I haven't seen a poem in blank verse so beautifully written in ages. I need some tips from you lol. The imagery once again blows me away and the emotion as well renders me breathless. Cheers to you!
