Motiveloco

Motiveloco

A Poem by alan khan
"

for whatever reason this is my faovirte poem i've ever written.

"

its all barren
this night.

everything around me dry empty and full of promises

i'm weeping.
in the street i am weeping.

the vermin
the predators
the shakers
w***e lovin money makers

they are watching me

none more than the street.
she watches with cunning unforgiving eyes

runnign running
my legs and bags burning.

the stick in my mouth
promising me death
burns

cant put it down.

the poison in my system
courseing through my veins.
relentlessly.

i'm heading no where fast.
and i could give a f**k.

i am the motiveloco.
swift.

and this night is my own.

Of the poems I've read by you, I'd have to agree with your comment. It's the best I've read so far.
Maybe it's the forlorn tone, or the sense of indifference in it, acceptance of fate...
the imagery is excellent, not overwhelming, but not too simple either.
