PerfectA Poem by Aladdin Soltan
Beautiful brown bristles
Softer and smoother than any whistle Winding twisting curling It's the image that gets me up every morning It looks like a nest for my heart It could use some rest it's been wounded from the start Smile that makes water weep Make a man move his feet and leap To where you'll be And what a sight to see She's the starry night in a pitch black town No word can represent her;not just any noun Her body defines art Rips the weeping oceans apart And she'll walk through the refreshing mist And I'd swim through that ocean not allowing another opportunity to be missed Radiant glistening breathtaking I'd offer my name for the taking A needle in the haystack Because her eyes pierce me fiercely Wearily, I'll lay on my back Look up at the heavens and thank them for their gift Her harp like voice gives a tremendous lift My eyes become like dinner plates Feasting as I watch the saints paint Their glorious image of perfection But I must watch without a hint of detection © 2014 Aladdin Soltan |
