LeechA Poem by Aladdin Soltan
The leeches feed off the weak get all that they seek
Until they reach their peak they disappear for maybe a week But come right back around looking for more They grow fat with greed taking much more than they need But you don't fail to deliver You allow them to slither while you just sit there and wither You were just a means a rest stop for now You start to realize this with the furrow of your brow How could you have been duped for all this time Thinking about all the emotion that really wasn't mine You gave it all away sold your soul to the leech It's a tragedy but still a lesson you can teach They all look through the pain in my name While I struggled to maintain Even the soulless and the faceless can go insane But I took the hits and I'm better now for it The leeches bleaches my soul and facial features Turning me into what looks like damned creatures But I say to hell with this sucking of my soul I didn't put in all this work to take this toll So I say no I wither no more! As I smash my feet through the floor I run this show now © 2014 Aladdin SoltanFeatured Review
