Being StillA Poem by Anima AkuffoThe bible tells us to be still in the midst of a war or storms of life. This is how I choose to describe it.
Being Still (Ps 46:10)
In timeless stills And countless spills I poured my heart to Him who wills In silent chills At vacant tills I turned my eyes to Him who fills In solitude Yielding fortitude I press towards my altitude In gratitude Of attitude I give my thanks O Lord to you. In confidence Of His covenant I dwell upon his countenance It's sustenance For my maintenance The Word of God is so relevant In silent praise I seek His face And bask in His amazing grace In passing days Of varying phase I stand on what the sure Word says I stand in awe At the open door Of love so endless and oh so pure There is no law That is so sure Than what Our Saviour did that hour © 2016 Anima AkuffoAuthor's Note
