Indus

Indus

A Poem by Akshay

There's a home for you
along the mountains
across the sea
with silver curtains
so you can see

There's a home for you
in the foothills
surrounded by trees
no cheap thrills
no one required to please

There's a home for you
in God's own state
with golden apples
devoid of all human hate
a place where whatever happens, happens

It's a home for you
I'll flatten mountains
travel the sea
pull the curtain
open the door for me

It's a home for you
I'll wander there on foot
live under the shade of trees
you're the judge in the moot
or maybe the queen of the bees

It's a home for you
God could never estimate
golden apples bending into wires
rescue me from my current state
I've been smoking packs of liars

It's a home for you
not for me
there's a knock on your door

help me

let me in

let me sink in your basin

where everything meets the nothing
