A Pedestal Too HighA Poem by AkshayThis is pretty much me talking to a young me.
It calls you out your whole life
But you're blinded by the words that your friend says It's all a scam, they're all so hypocritical, aren't they? An organization that's just a sham, a studded Zucchetto who hates the happy and gay Maybe he's right Maybe your friend has got it figured God is kind, religion seems to be bitter people in robes, asking you to give them your gem Isn't it all too similar to prostitution? people paying people to molest them Question everything But, for once stop to question your ideas what's with the hate against the heavenly, when all you can digest are luxurious lies You won't comprehend this until you're faced with existential queries when you don't have a bed, and it's never sunny Till then, you can live how you like make fun of the poor and blind hate everything that is known as mankind Put yourself on the same pedestal and see what you find © 2014 Akshay |
