I'm the One

I'm the One

A Poem by Akshay

If we don't blame the moon, it will continue to show its face
If we don't give up soon, we will starve for days
If we don't raise our voice, we are safe
If we don't have a choice, our masks will soon chafe

And we're told...

You are the one
Don't blame the sun
If you have a gun
You can have so much fun
If you don't eat what's given
No one will call you, hon'

Talk about the world and how it needs change
Talk about your girl, how she seems to be strange
Talk about the war, and how it is unfair
Talk about life, and how you have no one to share

And now you think...

What if I had a gun
What if I cared for the sun
What if I had some fun
What if I made something good with what I'd been given
What if I was never meant to be the one
