I have had a poetic vision, unwritten for years, and you wrote it. My vision was of two men walking on a road and coming to a point where they had to choose one of three roads; one through a forest, one over a mountain, and the other along a beach. The first man chose the easy way, the beach. The other chose the mountain. The first man finished the journey, before the day was done, and sat for three days waiting for the other. When the other arrived with cuts and bruises covering him he smiled at the other man, whom wondered why he'd been so foolish. The mountain man smiled and said, "For the last three days, I lived, while you sat waiting for life to come be you on a beach!" Great write!!
This is a vision I think every writer comes to at some point in their life- hopefully everyone. But I believe writers mostly because we look for it. We see this idea of blame and moving and complication without thought until one day we are sitting here with this thought in our minds. More is always on the mind and I thank you for putting this up.
Honestly, I enjoyed reading this poem. I don't know if I quite got exactly what it's message was supposed to be though. Maybe it's just me. It flows well though and the last stanza really says something. Nicely done.
This is a wonderful piece, dragged my mind into pondering over issues we can't handle or those we just wouldn't take the blame for. Life is just about reasons, questions, answers, directions, successes and failures; everybody wouldn't always find the ideals of these. So when this happens we find ourselves at the crossroad where we'd just choose to let it go. You can't make everything perfect, then you'd realise you don't have to blame anybody, cuz its all out of your hands. You lifted me with this piece.
