I have had a poetic vision, unwritten for years, and you wrote it. My vision was of two men walking on a road and coming to a point where they had to choose one of three roads; one through a forest, one over a mountain, and the other along a beach. The first man chose the easy way, the beach. The other chose the mountain. The first man finished the journey, before the day was done, and sat for three days waiting for the other. When the other arrived with cuts and bruises covering him he smiled at the other man, whom wondered why he'd been so foolish. The mountain man smiled and said, "For the last three days, I lived, while you sat waiting for life to come be you on a beach!" Great write!!
Great poem! I love how bold and straightforward it is. And the message is too true- most people would prefer to always pass on the blame, unfortunately. I think it's great how you use an unadorned but honest tone in order to convey your message, and the images you chose to accompany it are very interesting! I think it’s great that you use a kind of stream-of-consciousness methodology in conveying your feelings, and I think it could be even better with a little tweaking here and there, perhaps, just to make it sound more polished.
From Gibran - ' God rests in reason and moves in passion.' In Zen, they say decisions are like hiccups arising in a person. I think what they both say is that the living person is to some extent the witness.
I really enjoyed this.Your words are so bold and honest. Its amazing how some people prefer to always blame others, how its easier to say, "I only did it because of what he made me feel." In reality, we are in control of how we react to the things others say and do.
