Someone Strong

This story is about a child who doesn't have a father...still fights with life and get our it:)

This is perhaps the hardest part of growing up without a Father… 

I have to do lot of thinking,

make a tough decision everytime.

Everybody does feel sorry for me..

but no one feels the way I do

My Mom took very good care of me and my sisters, 

I watched her struggle for too many years 

just trying to keep food on the table.

We managed but I never want to be put in a situation like this.

where I am forced to do the things that i never wanted.

A fathers love can't be given to me from anyone no matter what. 

A lot of times I try to think about who I would be if I did have my father around 

and I honestly dont think I wanna know.

I like who I turned out to be.

I like the fact that I had to struggle to get to where I am. 

I like the fact that I had to endure some hurt and pain ..

Now I am Stronger because of it.

I'm happy to say that a little while ago Me and Mom did have a terrible relationship 

and today I am happy because more than anything, today I can call her my friend. 

So living without a father did not turn out to be so bad after all. 

Am I affected by it today? 

Yeah I am.

I am in search of that type of love but at the same time 

I know that everyone cannot give that genuine love that a father can give

I can only say..Be strong in life

you never know what is next...

This is sad and sweet.. bittersweet and honost, it is hard growing up without a father. I was lucky enough to meet my real father when i was 14yrs old.. He didn''t walk out on us, my mom just hated him so much she wouldn't let him be a part of our lives.. This write really touched my heart.. It is hard growing up without a father.. I think it is beautiful..

i can deeply understand all your thoughts and sentiments here....and i totally agree with you..!!
if i am to tell you, i live in an area where i am surrounded by people like this..!!
i have seen many people, some being only neglected, the others only rejected, and some given really high respected, some only illtreated,
simply for the reason, that they are either poor, or not blessed with parents,
but there i have seen a very remarkable fact, which i would really like to share with you,
the sense and depth of seriousness and respect that they have for life ,can never be seen in anyone..!!
this situation solely fits on this very old, but precious adage:
"every cloud has a silver lining"!!
the depth of hope and sincerity that they bear for their life is totally exceptional..!!!
parents are the mandatory elements to shape a child's life,
i can deeply feel the pain of loosing a father, because, one of my very dear friend, lost her father a few days before..!!
i can also feel that pain of the mother, who then lives her life for the sake of her children, who are in a way ,a small part of her husband...
good things take a long time to come in our life, but sadness just enters, and errupts the entire life,
its inevitable..!!

coming back to you poem, i must say,

As one raised by both parents, I can only imagine how difficult it is to not have a father. Someone to guide and direct you.. you did a great job of showing the effects of no father in this piece. Good job.

This prevokes thought and gives a feel of a person. While I'm personally not a fan of changes in colour and visual effects in writing - the actual idea behind it is great.

It doesn't seem to mess around or mince the words - it's to the point and personal.

I think you might want to edit a couple of things like capital 'I' at the start, and sentences like 'I know that nobody can give that' rather than 'I know that everyone cannot give that'. Also, 'Mom and I' rather than 'Me and Mom'.

With a story like this, it sort of does as intended and it's short enough to be a small and experimental writing piece - so the only thing to do is nail down some more grammar and make sure the punctuation is there - both to make the most imapct it can in making the sentence hit he reader and give off that feeling that it needs :) But things like that just require many re-edits and time.
