AMEN!!! This is a very beautiful peice!! The only thing that I might change is in the 5th stanza and the last , I would capitalize God. It's really not that big of a deal, besides it being kindof a pet peeve, I guess you can say, of mine. But it is a great peice!!
P.s. I'm the creater of a group on Writerscafe called Christian Writer's Club and I try to feature a new Christian peice once a month and I would love to feature it!!! If you're interested check it out!!! I wish I could find a way to insert a hyperlink!! I'm terrible with computers lol.
Anyway, great work!!
Thought cannot create him
Even though one may try
He cannot be attained through silence
Even though meditation is unbroken
Hunger for god is never finished
Despite the amount of money or wealth
I liked that stanza especially the last two lines.
So true, he is always there for us, when we need him. Always the same, never changing. Full of grace and mercy.
Loved this piece. Inspirational, uplifting
Thanks so much for sharing this with me.
I can understand this, and appreciate this very much. God comes in many forms, colors, shapes, and sizes...just like people. I feel that I have to different views, a religious one, and a realistic one, they don't mix..i don't let them. And i probably use the realistic one much more. But i have a secret passion for my religious side, and I'm hindu, and I truly adore the Hindu religion, however, i have to be reminded of that side of me from time to time. Thanks for reminding me of it with this beautiful poem.
ummm it's a good poem but i don't like it at all in my religous view because i am an agnostic so it is not really my style.. But i don't like how you worded everything and it was very interesting how you put each line in a different color
Very nice introduction. I like the philosophy of this. I'm particularly intrigued by "he cannot be attained through silence, even though meditation is unbroken". That is quite thought provoking, because of course, maybe people believe precisely the opposite. I like how inclusive this poem is, there is reference to a lot of fundamental tenets of faith which seem to be contradictory, but are in fact, complementary. It doesn't matter what you believe about God, it's all the same to him.
