I Need A Hug

Sometimes we feel sad ...so we need a hug after that things will get better..

If You need me
Show me the way to see

People lie
People getting hurt
It's just the way things are

Sit beside me
Hold my hands tight
See the future of us in my eyes

I just feel sad tonight
Tears are flowing from my eyes
I just need a hug
Your arms just feel like home
You can't express with just a tone

You make me feel real
The look on you face
The sadness in your eyes
Just shows the nature of you

Your love is so pure
You make me feel safe
No one come and take your place

I just feel sad tonight
Tears are flowing from my eyes
I just need a hug
Sometimes you just need to forget everything

Again, there is such compassion and sensitivity in your poems.....a real deep sense of wanting to take care of someone reading this....:)
And the line of the poem is simple, yet contains such meaning...."I just need a hug"...love it, and yes sometimes that is all we need....kinda welling up a little myself reading this if I'm honest....;)

Sometimes - we just need to forget everything. I don't know, Akshat. I don't do this as often as perhaps I could. Someone once said, plenty of time for sleep when you're dead. While I think that's a rather over-dramatic way of looking at it, there is wisdom in those words.

Today I blink less, breathe slower, and focus more - intently on all of life and it's wonderful mysteries around us. We are only given one shot on this Earth (according to popular opinion anyways) :) so - perhaps we ought to make the best of it and learn all we can before it becomes time to turn in our Ticket Of Life ?

As for hugs, they are often free (I even get hugs from strangers at the store when I'm with Chris sometimes), although holding of hands means more to me than any other sign of affection and expression and will always hold a special place in my heart for symbolism and symbiosis.

On the whole, a very neat poem. It touched me with its simplicity but I feel it can easily be two different poems. You see, I am a little confused here. The first three stanzas talk about someone's need for you and how you reassure them. The last four talk about your sadness and your need for reassurance. I am sure you have your reason for combining the two. Great going!
