THE PARASITESA Poem by AkinloluParasites are the scourge of paradise. Oh it's been ages since I did biology but these critters keep popping up in some of my favorite sci-fi novels. We know parasites aren't fiction but fact.
Indigo skies.
Over Negro spies Glare down on those on a mission impossible Fording through passages impassable Like discordant tunes imported from Neptune. They aspire to steal a slice of our heaven, and build an army of orcs from a race that's elven. Those living deads are here like vultures Anomalies from strange cultures. Why do they always see people like carrion? The Man is lost who owns the clarion. If we don't save this day, there'll be hell to pay. Anonymity is their name. Proximity is their game. They glimmer like stars As we're plastered with scars. They're leeches! Consumer of our riches. Their joy multiplies, our pain amplifies. They're too dumb to understand pain. They keep wondering why the majority complains. © 2023 AkinloluReviews
