THE PERFECT GENTLEMANA Poem by AkinloluThis is about the hidden versus the visible man; the character versus the reputation of man. Thanks for reading.
I've seen the perfect gentleman.
And he's kind to all humans Never holding a grudge, Ugly conflicts he'll dodge. He's ever the gentleman Never pompous to the yeoman. Never shying from heroic deeds, and always game for homeric creeds. But is he a perfect gentleman? Why is he acting like a Roman? Never willing to break a hedge, but always willing to place a bet. Is he not a gentleman? Always coming from Oman with gifts and lots of pearls. It's all for young girls; the next innocents he'll deflower. 06/07/2023. 5:01pm Image Credit: Sander Sammy/ Unsplash © 2023 AkinloluAuthor's Note
