LOVE OF MINEA Poem by AkinloluA celebration of my wife and our love
We met in the place where souls intersect hearts,
a quadrant to the east of Eden Where heaven connects with earth. We met at the dawn of creation In the womb of the morn, north of the rainbow, where stars are born. You touched me and I came alive; infused with potency like the bees of the hive. Covered with ice, wrapped in blackness, I was a frozen planet on a journey to oblivion, seeking for light, down and hopeless. We met beyond the edge of Orion. Where big bangs are born every second, beyond the Northmost meridian. Ice age ceased and now my snow is thawed. Summer is here with songs restored. I was a black ink with a one tone mind. You brought the rainbow, tinting my life with colors divine. Warmth is here, the night is fled. My love is mine and her rose is red. Dedicated to my wife Flora.
