A Vampire Flash Fiction

Short but intense

The war between the vampires and the werewolves lasted till dawn. Frank and the girl he had rescued from the hands of a vampire had barely escaped with their lives. The vampires had almost decimated the wolves but the sun was rising up; which was good as this would slow down the vampires. The carnage was devastating with the werewolves losing to the vampires. They soon found themselves hotly pursued by two vampires. "Quick, let's hide here ", the girl said to him. They quickly entered a dark empty building. They were safe from the vampires for now unless the vampires found them. A few hours passed with nothing happening. They kept silent. "It's going to be okay", the girl reassured him. He looked at her, even though he couldn't see her in the darkness. She was very pretty. He had kind of noticed that while they were on the run. "How come I have never seen her around", he thought to himself. In the darkness, he traced her face with his palms. She smiled at him even though he couldn't see the smile in the pitch black darkness because if he could, he would have seen a set of fangs protruding from her teeth.
