Prayer

Would I be a rainbow,

Colourful and shining, to somewhere so high

That nobody could reach me even if they try?
But why would I be a rainbow,

If being would be ephemeral

Where I would always fade and gradually

Disappear?

How shall I then be able

To watch over my mother or

Protect my sister or care for my

Beloved?

Or guard my allies and show my presence..

Please make me no ghost

For they'll all be scared and

Afraid of my existence and

Doubting my company..

A cloud would be good; light and pure

Free of worries, anybody's cure.

But would they love it when I cry for

Them?

Because my tears would be nothing but rain

Which they liketh not as all

Their plans would just go in vain.

I demand nothing but understanding

When, whatever I shall become

Would only and only be for their

Welfare

So Lord, when I come to You,

Prithee let a part of me

Stay on Your land's bosom

Where they would feel and know and

See

That she, will always be!
