Damsel

Damsel

A Poem by akihsna

Anticipation never lurked in her vicinity;
She seldom needed anybody's attention.
Wrapped in her words and written thoughts she
Spent the dawns and celebrated the dusks.
While Day broke out and Night began to yawn,
The demoiselle seized a pen and danced
on paper
Bruises and tears of what was long gone,
Brought her back down memory lane..
Fighting all the screams of Past,
Tearing through the thousand pain,
Wiping the blood- stained memories,
Washing her whole self in a new rain,
Running in a meadow of dandelions,
Now she fears no blow from a cane!
