Scarlet Note

Vividly manifesting your presence,

  Sneak-peaks, flowing through us legs
You're the flagrant reminder of the weaker being

                                            --so they call us

Alarming pain; one never desired..

   Bringing into light the scariest dark side of we

Didn't call for you but still; an uninvited guest

   How shall we really see you-- a friend or foe?

'Cause you never leave but stay- though transient

   A monthly visitor, marking its territory every time..

Author's Note

I feel quite stupid to even have thought about writing such a poem.. Please give vent to your imagination for I'd love to witness pretty distinctive interpretation of this piece.

Not too precise with biology as of yet. Christian schools (funny thing is I'm an atheist in a religious school) don't teach many science-related topic; and if biology may be one of the very lowest requirements; or perhaps it's just my home? Who knows.
And, being a fourteen year-old, I'm quite surprised to have never received the 'talk' of sex, biology, and anything having to do with any topic other than religion.

: Hahah the irony xD Oh really? Well, it should have been taught though. Boy, you're fourteen..you really do not look like such a fresh teen :O
And I won't put it the way that "You're missing much" nevertheless it's true that sex education is important too. Gradually maybe..you'll know more on your own :)

I am and will continue so long as I have literary resources.
And indeed; I started middle school at ten so I was a bit too . . . parent oriented at the time. Never really questioned the existence of anything, matter-of-fact. Then I discovered the internet; and I discovered a world far beyond that of which my guardians' teach me. O, you can only imagine the irritable rage I felt at the time.
