The night-sky glimmers with immobile fireflies

Constantly twinkling to amaze our eyes.

Sometimes they love playing hide- and- seek
Together with the clouds, behind whom they peek.

No matter how dark the night may be,

They will still be shining for you and me.
So whenever you feel gloomy and nothing's right,

Know that they'll be here to brighten up our night.

Who can see the stars and not be inspired? I love this interpretation... mixing the organic and inorganic together so playfully. The central melody, dances gracefully in the high registers and resonates within that counterpoint of hide and seek, light and dark; and ends with a hopeful promise. Bravo!

It never ceases to amaze me that every poet that has ever lived, more than likely, referenced that blazing expanse of highlights in the darkness of infinity. The opportunity to revisit them and draw inspiration seems boundless and therein lies the greatest mystery; how each poet sees with eyes and mind anew and for their readers invites them to try on a new garment of sensibility that is uniquely you. We, your readers, are nibbling our way toward a banquet of delight. Of that much I am certain.
