From sharing a secret

To becoming estranged

The peace, we couldn’t keep it

You built yourself those chains

Not him, not her, you did

You’re hiding the proof, the stains

Though you did, you liar

And this is what you wrought

Oh yes, the consequences dire

Maybe it looks like I'm running
Maybe to you, I'm weak

But no, I’m cunning

And safety's what I seek
